Grandpa starting a hedge pile to burn next year

August, 1999

Look at the fencepost, and, the highway is under water three months later, cows are all in barn. The water was over 8 feet deep where they are standing.

Tillamook county farmers created "cow pads" huge piles of gravel for the cows to stand up on during times of flooding, saving many cows' lives.

My goat stayed in laundry room with the 10 cats and two dogs.
